Friden is built to keep the object and its continuity together. Not as marketing, but as part of what the watch is.

Every Friden carries a sealed NFC chip. Tap it with your phone to see the watch’s record in plain language.

• Proof it’s genuine. Verification is tied to the watch itself, not paperwork that can be lost.
• Proof of continuity. Ownership and service history stay attached to the record as the watch changes hands.
• No app required. No battery inside the chip. The interaction is meant to stay simple.

If Friden does not exist in twenty years, the commitment is still the same: the watch should retain a readable record that stays with it, rather than depending on a box of papers or a seller’s memory. We are designing for continuity, not asking you to trust a promise without structure behind it.

NOTHING EXCESSIVE. EVERYTHING ACCOUNTED FOR.

• Case: Grade 5 titanium. Lighter than steel, twice as hard, resistant to rust and sweat.
• Water resistance: 200m. Built for real use, not incidental contact.
• Bezel: Ceramic. Hard-wearing and stable over time.
• Movement: Miyota mechanical, Japan. No battery. Serviceable for decades.
• Caseback: Exhibition glass. Included because the movement is part of the object, not hidden from it.
• Authentication: NFC chip sealed inside the case.
